The Light Gospel Choir started out in January 2008 as a
choir practice in the Athenaeum Musicale Fiorentino society
and today has around thirty members divided into sopranos,
contraltos and tenors.

In these years of activity there have been numerous collaborations with local societies for charity work in symbolic parts of the city; amongst the many, we would like to remember Girotondo per il Meyer, Noi per Voi, Auser, Lu.Be.C, (Lucca Beni Culturali), MEDU (Medici per i Diritti Umani), Telethon, Misericordia del Galluzzo, ANT

The Light Gospel Choir has sung in many places in Florence: St. James American Church, Santa Trinita Church, Ognissanti Church, The Hall of the 500 in Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Croce Square, Cestello Square, The Certosa Florence Charterhouse, The Boboli Gardens, The Odeon Theatre, The Puccini Theatre as well as many others.

The traditional Christmas fundraising event, in partnership with A.T.T Associazione Toscana Tumori over the years has gone from strength to strength.
With pride, affection and sympathy we remember our contribution to the construction of the ‘Giardino di Cice' Playground in the Meyer Paediatric Hospital.
We were chosen by the U.S Consolate of Florence to sing and celebrate the 50th anniversary of Black History Month alongside the American Florentine community.
During the Light Gospel Choir concerts it’s not uncommon to come across artists (signers and musicians), friends who enjoy performing with the choir getting closer to Gospel and creating a captivating show which successfully puts together various artistic sensibilities.
